Know what lives
in your units.

A tenant says they saw a cockroach. Which one, how bad, and what now? Shoo names the species from a photo and gives you a plan that starts with the free fixes. The bug guide helps you tell them apart too.

From "I saw a bug"
to a plan.

For when a tenant messages you.

  1. 1

    Ask for a photo

Send the tenant the link to shoo.bz/scan. It runs in the phone browser, so they need no app.

  2. 2

    Get the species

German, American, bed bug or another household bug. Shoo says how sure it is, and says not sure rather than guess.

  3. 3

    Act on the right fix

The right product for that species, or a note that this one needs a professional.

Between tenants

Check the empty unit.

The best time to find a problem is before the next tenant moves in.

  • Monitor traps in kitchen and bathroom for a week
  • Name what they catch scan a close photo of one, or match it in the bug guide, and keep the result with the unit
  • Fix it while it is empty: it is cheaper and easier than with people living there

Scans and traps,
per unit.

Shoo Places will keep scans and traps per unit, so a pattern across a building is easy to see.

Shoo Places Coming later
  • Every unit separate scans, traps and history per address
  • Move-out check a list for empty units
  • Kits to the unit from the Shoo store Coming later
  • Tenant scans in your account with the tenant's permission Coming later
Join the waiting list

Shoo Places is not open yet. The price is set before launch, and nobody is charged for joining the waiting list.

Who does what

Your duties stay yours

Who must treat pests depends on your country and lease. Shoo can help you act; it does not change the rules.

Pros for big jobs

Bed bugs, rats and spread across units usually need a licensed professional.

Labels, with tenants in mind

Products go where the label says, with tenants' children and pets in mind.
