The detector was not sure. What now?
Take a closer photo in good light with a coin next to it. Droppings and egg cases also help. A not sure answer does not use up one of your free scans.
Will it work on other bugs and animals?
It names the four house cockroaches and the household bugs in the bug guide: ants, bed bugs, silverfish, clothes moths, spiders, fruit flies and mosquitoes. Naming mice, rats and birds from their signs comes later.
What happens to my photos?
The photo goes to our server and on to the AI model that names the bug, and our server deletes it as soon as the answer comes back. We keep a record of the scan without the photo. The privacy policy has the details.
Buying products
Can I buy products from Shoo?
Not yet. The guides and plans name the products that work, and you can buy them from other shops. A Shoo shop is planned for later.
Why is bait different?
Bait and growth regulators are regulated, and the rules differ by country. Buy them from a seller in your country and follow the label.
Emails from Shoo
How do I know an email is really from Shoo?
We send email only from hello@shoo.bz. Shoo never asks for your password or card details by email. If an email asks for them, or you are not sure it is from us, do not click its links: type shoo.bz into your browser instead, and forward the email to hello@shoo.bz.
Products and safety
Is it safe with kids and pets?
Follow the label and the placement in your plan. After a scan, tick children or pets at home and the plan puts everything out of their reach.
It is not working. What should I do?
Check your monitor traps. If counts are not falling after a month, it is time for a professional.
