Terms of use

These terms are between you and Shoo, based in Albania. Our postal address goes up here before paid plans open. Email hello@shoo.bz, or use the form on the Help and contact page.

This site holds the bug guides, the detector on the scan page, the waiting lists and a contact form. The first named scan needs nothing. After that the scan page asks for an email, and each email gets 3 named scans free in total, the first one included. The site has a daily limit for everyone. The app for iPhone and Android is planned and not out yet. The shop is closed for now and takes no orders.

These terms cover the website and the detector now. The parts about accounts, the paid plan and orders apply from the day each one opens.

The guides and plans describe known, established ways to deal with household pests. They are general information, not a professional inspection, and they do not replace a pest professional, a doctor or a vet.

If our advice and a product label ever differ, follow the label. Keep products out of reach of children and pets.

Never handle a snake or a dangerous animal. Keep your distance and call local animal control.

The detector names a bug from a photo and says how sure it is. When it is not sure, it asks for another photo. It can still be wrong, so check what it says it saw, and do not rely on it alone for health or safety decisions.

Your photos stay yours. You give us permission to process them to name the bug, build your plan and keep your scan history, as the privacy policy describes.

Upload only photos you are allowed to share, and nothing unlawful. Keep your login to yourself. We may close an account that is used to abuse the service.

On this website, the first 3 named scans of each email or account are free. Plans with more scans are not open yet, and nobody is charged until they are. The app will be free to download and come with a few free scans. After that, scanning in the app will need a paid plan, monthly or yearly. Shoo Places, the plan for more than one home, is a higher tier. No plan is open yet. Prices and billing terms will be shown before anyone is asked to pay.

Prices are shown in US dollars at checkout, with shipping and any tax, before you pay. Regulated products, such as bait, growth regulators and deterrent sprays, ship only to countries where we may sell them. If we cannot legally send an order, we cancel it and refund it in full.

We are responsible for the products we sell and for the service we provide, as consumer law in your country says. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer.

We are not responsible for harm caused by using a product against its label or our safety advice.

These terms are governed by the law of Albania. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the law where you live.

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Changes do not apply to orders already placed.
